FTMO launches FTMO Futures with Growth and Pro evaluation plans

FTMO launched FTMO Futures on 17 September 2026 after a beta, with two plans on Tradovate, NinjaTrader and TradingView and a 90% payout share.

What happened

FTMO, the Prague firm known for its CFD challenges, announced FTMO Futures in a press release dated 17 September 2026. Finance Magnates had reported on 31 August that the firm had started a beta version. In the beta, traders took an evaluation and then moved to a Sim-Funded Account with up to $450,000 in simulated capital.

According to FTMO’s release, the product has two plans:

  • Growth is the entry plan, with FTMO’s lowest futures prices and no daily loss limit during the evaluation.
  • Pro is aimed at experienced traders. It has tighter daily risk limits and higher payouts. Traders can request up to 100% of their available profit each cycle, with a cap of $5,000 to $8,000 per payout depending on account size.

The release says both plans share these features:

  • Trading on Tradovate, NinjaTrader and TradingView.
  • An end-of-day trailing drawdown that stops moving once it reaches the starting balance.
  • A 90% payout share for the trader.
  • No activation fee.
  • A consistency rule in the evaluation only, not on the funded account.
  • A profit target that can be as low as the drawdown allowance (a 1:1 ratio).

FTMO says the product is open to traders worldwide, and that its parameters, pricing and availability may change. In the release, CEO Otakar Šuffner said traders had been asking FTMO for years to offer futures and that the firm had designed the product around their requests.

What it means for traders

FTMO joins The5ers and FundedNext, which Finance Magnates noted had already launched futures offerings, in moving from CFDs into futures. Traders who know FTMO’s CFD challenges should not assume the same rules apply. Futures evaluations work differently.

  • The drawdown follows the account. With an end-of-day trailing drawdown, the loss limit rises with the account’s closing high until it reaches the starting balance, then stays there. An unrealised gain that disappears within the same day does not raise the limit, but a higher close does. Our guide to drawdown rules shows how this compares with a static limit.
  • The plans trade payout size against daily risk. Growth has no daily loss limit in the evaluation. Pro lets traders withdraw more per cycle but has stricter daily limits and a payout cap.
  • A 1:1 target ratio is a ceiling, not a promise. Needing to make as much as you are allowed to lose is still a demanding target.

Most traders do not pass evaluations, and fees are usually not refunded. Our FTMO Futures profile lists sizes, prices and payout rules, and the futures firm list shows how it compares with older futures firms.

What we do not know yet

  • How payouts work in practice. The product is new, so there is no payout history to judge yet.
  • Which countries are excluded. The release says the product is open worldwide but does not list restrictions, and says availability may change.
  • Whether FTMO will add more plans or instruments after the launch.
