MyFundedFX became SeacrestFunded in February 2025. A year later its parent, Seacrest Markets, closed the prop trading business to focus on CFD brokerage, closing all accounts on 6 February 2026.
What happened
MyFundedFX was a retail prop firm based in Dallas, Texas, led by chief executive Matthew Leech. On 11 February 2025 it renamed itself SeacrestFunded, to match a new CFD broker in the same group, Seacrest Markets, which FX News Group reported was domiciled and licensed in South Africa. The myfundedfx.com address began redirecting to the Seacrest site. At the same time the firm said it would indefinitely stop new purchases from US-based customers, while existing US customers could keep their accounts. Leech told customers the rebrand would not change accounts, payouts or trading.
On 4 February 2026 Seacrest Markets announced that it would close its prop trading operations and concentrate on its CFD brokerage business. The sources listed here do not report a reason given by the company. Finance Magnates also reported that the group was still offering futures prop trading under a separate brand at the time.
